The Challenge:

With heavy rains and driving winds, tanks throughout the bases were cracking and absorbing moisture, contaminating the diesel fuel they were containing.

Benefits Desired:

  • Waterproof
  • Durable, Impact, Abuse Resistance
  • Long Lasting
  • Clean, Safe and Non-Toxic
  • Cost Effective
  • Low VOC’s and No ODS’s
  • Flexible
  • Renewable
  • Easy to Apply
  • Withstand Vibration Without Cracking

Result:

A simple cost effective system was R.I.P.™ Rust Inhibiting Primer designed first applying 6 mils DFT (Dry Film Thickness) of GEI’s addressing the rusting pipes that penetrated the tanks. This was followed with 32 mils of Your Last Coat. When this easily installed coating system was finished the tanks had a durable, long lasting, seamless, monolithic waterproof membrane guaranteed to last for 20 years.
