The disastrous 8.9-magnitude earthquake in March 11 that caused the shutdown of 11 of Japan's nuclear reactors and the explosion at the nuclear facility on March 12 has generated a substantial amount of radiation in Fukushima. As the radiation leak is being controlled, Japan now needs a proper way to contain and dispose of the radioactive dust all over the ground, walls, and debris.
The GLOBAL Encasement, Inc. team rushed in to perform a demonstration to determine the proper system design for this purpose.
- Green, Non-Toxic, Low V.O.C.’s
- Locks Down and Seals Radioactive Dust & Debris
- Extremely Tough, Durable and Flexible
- Easy To Apply
- Tenacious Adhesion
- Ability to Withstand Extreme Weather Conditions
A Global Encasement, Inc. System was applied with MPE Multi-Purpose Encapsulant™, PrepLESS Primer™, and Your Last Coat™ to seal and manage-in-place the radioactive dust on all surfaces. With this System Design, radioactive dust on walls can be managed-in-place and will be able to sustain repeated pressure washing. Radioactive dust on the ground and debris, on the other hand, after encasement can be rolled up and properly disposed of because of the system's adhesion and flexibility.
