Public School Gym Roof
Oklahoma
The roof during application of RoofCoat™
The Challenge:
This 11,000 sf roof needed waterproofing and weatherpoofing as many of the roof panels had been replaced over the years due to damage from the severe Oklahoma weather. Weather extremes can vary between interior/exterior temperatures of 80 degrees F. and winds can be in excess of 80 mph straight-line.
GEI Seam Tape seals the seams. |

Results:
GLOBAL Encasement’s Energy Star Qualified RoofCoat system was designed to waterproof and protect the roof and the building's occupants. GEI Seam Tape and 100% Acrylic Caulk were used to bridge cracks and seams across the entire roof. Then, a 34 mil RoofCoat™ system was sprayed over the 11,000 SF metal roof resulting in a seamless, monolithic waterproof membrane warranted to last 20 years. The environmental benefit from RoofCoat's high solar reflectance is a cooler building with less work for the air conditioning system and tremendous energy savings over the life of the building.
