New York City - Lexington Hotel
The Challenge:
This 1929 New York City historic hotel, located in what is known as hotel alley, was being renovated and owners needed a cost effective way to quickly and efficiently deal with lead based paint covering some of the surfaces. Since the hotel was also occupied, the project needed a product with zero VOC's so there would not be offensive, lingering odors.
Benefits Desired:
- Green Solution
- Zero VOC Coatings - Super Compliant
- High Performance
- No Generation of Hazardous Waste
- Cost Effective
- Protection from Potential Lead Hazards
- Minimum Downtime
Results:
A GLOBAL Encasement, Inc. LeadLock™ system was chosen to not only seal in the existing Lead-Based Paint but also provide a tough, durable, sustainable surface with no offending odors.
