CH#309 - Rust and Lead Paint Restoration at Port of San Francisco

Lead Paint Restoration

Rust and Lead Paint Restoration
Port of San Francisco, California USA

The Challenge:

Lead painted structures and rusting buildings of this newly converted waterfront park were in bad shape and needed restoration that would halt rust, seal lead paint & preserve their historic maritime characteristics. The Port planned to preserve several relics left behind from the site’s shipyard past and restore buildings identified as historically significant.

Benefits Desired:

  • GREEN & Environmentally Advanced  Coating Solution
  • Custom Colored
  • Sustainable & Cost Effective
  • Minimum Surface Preparation
  • Seal, Waterproof, Protect Surfaces
  • Halt Rust & Prevent Future Corrosion
  • 20 Year Warranty, Renewable Solution
  • Durable, Withstand Extreme Temperatures

Results:

GLOBAL Encasement, Inc.’s (GEI) award-winning LeadLock coating system was the answer to all concerns. GEI’s R.I.P.™ Rust Inhibiting Primer was first applied, inhibiting and halting further rust. Next PrepLESS Primer was applied to lock in place any loose flaking paint chips. Then LeadLock custom colored TopCoat was put on to complete the system protecting the structures in order to prevent future corrosion from the ongoing attack of sea salt spray and harsh weather.

Testimonial: From the very beginning of our project, back when we needed custom color matching on a “rush” basis, through the many questions and challenges that we’ve had along the way, all of the Global Encasement, Inc. staff that we’ve dealt with have gone way above and beyond to support our successful completion.
