The Challenge: After a Thorough Cleaning of the Sphere, the City's Industrial Hygienists were Still Unsure about Residual Heavy Metals and Asbestos Particles Posing a Health Hazard to People Visiting the Memorial Site in Battery Park. The Heavy Metals, Which Can Be Absorbed Through Skin Contact, were of Particular Concern to the City.

Results: GLOBAL Encasement, with Its Knowledge of Hazardous Materials Management, Suggested Coating the Sphere with Its Renewable MPE Multi-Purpose Encapsulant. This Prevented Any Heavy Metals from Leaching Through to the Surface, While at the Same Time Locking In-Place Any Asbestos Particles.
