The challenge:
The asbestos containing galbestos coating on this sheet metal roof was in a deteriorated condition. The building owner feared they would have to remove and replace the roof to properly abate the asbestos containing material. GLOBAL Encasement, Inc. suggested using its non-toxic, high performance, solar reflective coatings to rejuvenate the roof and abate the asbestos hazard in-place.

Results:
The AsbestoSafe® system was chosen to in-place manage the galbestos coating while rejuvenating the sheet metal roof at the same time. This system was installed after the damaged areas of the roof were reconditioned or replaced. PrepLESS Primer™ was applied after minimal cleaning of the roof. The primer penetrated and softened the existing galbestos coating then locked the paint down as it dried. AsbestoSafe® topcoat was then applied providing a durable and long lasting finished surface that is renewable. This system is warranted to last in excess of 20 years.
